We’re looking for a Ski Patroller who stays calm under pressure, loves working outdoors in all conditions, and is committed to keeping the slopes safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Saariselkä Ski & Sport Resort is the northernmost ski resort in Europe, and part of a family-owned company that includes a ski resort, rental shop, ski school, and restaurant. Our ski patrol team plays a key role in ensuring the safety of guests and staff on the slopes. Your tasks will include slope checks, accident response, first aid, signage and fencing, and overall mountain safety. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team that works independently and takes pride in doing essential work behind the scenes.
If you’re someone who enjoys being outside, helping others, and working in a physically active and meaningful role, this could be the job for you.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Good skiing or snowboarding skills (comfortable on all types of terrain)
- A calm and responsible approach in emergency situations
- A valid first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Fluency in English (Finnish is a bonus)
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude
Previous experience in ski patrol, rescue, or safety roles is an advantage – but we’re happy to train capable candidates with the right mindset.
As part of our team, you'll receive a variety of staff benefits. We also offer a limited number of shared staff accommodations or can assist you in finding suitable housing.
